Can you believe the end of the school year is so close? I pray that you had a fruitful year with your students.  This past school year was very special to me. I received a very generous grant from the Catholic Women's Giving Circle of the Archdiocese of New Orleans.  I was able to share the "Footprints for Life" Program, materials and supplies with a dozen schools in the Archdiocese. God is SO good!  I am so thankful for all of the teachers and moderators that said, "Yes!" to sharing pro-life teachings and values with their students.

As we finish this year, I wanted to let you know that we will no longer be sending an email next year.  We will be utilizing our Facebook page to share information with you. Please take a moment to "Like" our page so that you can continue to receive updates and information.

   .      Students in St. Peter School in Covington! 
The Footprints for Life members...were able to visit The Trace Senior Living on Saturday, March 4, and it was a wonderful visit.  They had a small group of students from the Campus Ministry classes that day, and they did a great job meeting and getting to know the residents.  They also gave away over 40 gift bags plus a small surplus of goods that the residents could use.  The residents were so appreciative.  A few days later the residents even took the time to send them a thank you card, and many of the residents wrote small messages of thanks and signed their names.  It was really sweet of them to do that.  That in itself led to a great lesson with the students about the art of handwriting and the kindness of sending someone a handwritten thank you note!

 Spiritual Adoption
    
The Spiritual Adoption Program began on September 8th - the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Please join us in praying for unborn babies who are in danger.

                           Did You Know?

                                

Did you know that Angel's Place's ongoing mission is children’s respite service? Trained respite volunteers watch over Angels’ Place children at the hospital or provide household aid to the family free of charge. We receive clients through referrals from Children’s Hospital of New Orleans and Ochsner Health System.

When a child has a life-threatening illness, cancer, or otherwise, it affects the whole family. The fight to preserve a child’s life is a tough one, so our respite volunteers are there to lend a hand when these families need any kind of basic help around the house or at the hospital. Sometimes, just having a shoulder to lean on makes all the difference.

 We have copies of the Footprints for Life Program available at NO COST to you! Through the Catholic Women's Giving Circle Grant, we are able to provide the program to schools! AND, we can provide FREE training!

Footprints for Life is a program designed to cultivate a Culture of Life in our children.  This program builds on a foundation of dignity, compassion, and truth.  The program covers USCCB Culture of Life topics age-appropriately and incorporates discussions, activities, and the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy into the study of these issues.
