Dear members and organic supporters,

This summer has been without fail a difficult one, with everyone across the province impacted by collective and individual challenges. As the rain falls here in Vernon, a relief to many as fire suppression efforts continue, we’re looking forward to September’s cooler nights and clearer days, and also to the many upcoming events, meetings and other happenings in our community and within our organization.

Organic Week is coming up, and we hope you have time to attend some of the events. If you didn’t get to listen to the podcasts we produced last winter, you’ll soon have the chance—we’ll be releasing them during Organic Week!

Planning for the BC Organic Conference is also well underway, and I am thankful to the very engaged conference committee for their efforts in creating both podcasts and an in-person conference. Want to get involved? See below for a conference volunteer opportunity.

We’re always looking for engagement, so if you'd like to volunteer for an event, join a committee, contribute your stories or share your time and skills in another way, please get in touch!

Help Us Tell the Story of BC Organic

Now that we’ve settled into our new brand, we’re ready to explore all of its opportunities! We’ve recently been discussing the need to spread awareness of organic in the media—to touch on critical topics such as climate change and regenerative agriculture, and to more broadly share the definition of organic and why it’s important for our food, our communities, our health and our world.

To help us amplify our message, we’d like to gather some stories from organic farmers around the province. If you’re interested in engaging, please reach out to us for more information at
