Opening Acts: "Déballez," Sweet Crude

I happened to see Sweet Crude open for the Lost Bayou Ramblers at Tipitina's a few years back; I had no real knowledge of either band, but wanted to make sure I finally caught a show at one of New Orleans' most storied venues. But Sweet Crude certainly left an impression. I'm not sure the electro-pop sheen of their most recent record does justice to the millennial-Cajun-Arcade-Fire spectacle of their live show, but at the very least you have to give them serious props for trying to bring Louisiana French into the modern age.
