Looking back at my playlist from last year, I noticed that I mentioned in this space what a difficult year it had been for many of my friends and family.
If we had only known what was coming, right?
This year's mix tackles, even if somewhat obliquely, some of 2020's unavoidable subjects, and these words I wrote last year seem even more appropriate today: "Call it escapism, call it self-care, but sometimes music is the only thing that can pull us out of a bad place... clawing one's way out of the darkness and into the light is always possible... and having a good soundtrack never hurts."
