Listen, Reflect, Learn, Act. The 3x3 Series.

The 3x3 Series is here.

We've been eagerly waiting to share this with you, and it's finally here! Explore the 3x3 series to find four short monologues about belonging, leadership, and advocacy. These monologues are accompanied by 3 points for reflection, 3 resources for further learning, and 3 ways to take action for change. The 3x3 series was made for individual and communal learning--you could even ask a colleague to work through the four videos with you over the course of the semester.

As you use and access the 3x3s, please let us know! We'd love to hear feedback and hear about how you're using this. If the project proves to be useful, we'll continue making new videos, so please reach out to tell us about your experience.

Still taking reservations for Fall 2020. The Inclusive Teaching Toolkit.

There’s still time to book a Fall 2020 performance.

UVA Acts is still going with our busiest semester yet--20 performances, with only 2 of our programs available virtually! We've had positive feedback to our shift online, and while we think it's always better to be in a room together, we feel we've figured out a good model for these days of social distancing.

Meant to book a performance this semester? One positive to our online platform is that our availability has expanded tenfold. Submit a request here--if you can schedule it for this semester, we can probably make it work!

Inclusive Teaching Toolkit: First Days
  • Dr. Timmons and Dr. Erickson teach different sections of the same large-enrollment introductory course. Step into a student’s shoes to observe their course introductions and reflect upon your own teaching practices for the first day of class.
  • Versions available: synchronous or asynchronous
Inclusive Teaching Toolkit: Lectures
  • Hear stories from Gene, Vanessa, and Claire about their experiences with belonging and belonging uncertainty in their education. Consider how small changes and psychosocial interventions during lectures can help to cultivate a sense of belonging in lecture-based courses.
  • Versions available: synchronous
