Through this newsletter we keep you informed of the latest news of our projects.
Skill development at Youth With a Mission India
Project Held supports 3 children homes from Youth With a Mission in India. Once in every three months they try to bring some skill development programs for children to develop their skills and have a bright future. Last time the children had the privilage to attend basket ball coaching through school. It was really helpful to learn new skills and practising new things which they enjoyed a lot.
Besides that, once a month there is a big birthday party were the children who are born in that month will celebrate their birthday. This is one of the most important, enjoyable and intense movement in children’s life. According to their background and family they don’t celebrate their birthday at their home. By celebrating their birhday it helps the children to understand that they are accepted, receiving love and that they belong to this big family. They enjoy this movement a lot and this helps their emotional growth also.

Help for the victims of the cyclone in Mozambique
In April, Project Held made an appeal in the newsletter to give financially for the victims of Cyclone Idai in Mozambique. The cyclone caused serious damage, hundreds of children and families became dependent on help. We are very happy to report that more than € 4000 has arrived after the call! We have transferred the money to Heidi Baker Ministries, they have been able to help many people with food, medicine and clean drinking water. Thank you to all donors!
Life in Baan Zion Thailand
The girls in Baan Zion have been cared for in the children's home for years because their mother is in prison. The girls are doing great and together with the staff they function as a close Christian family. As they grow up, the blessing of Baan Zion becomes increasingly visible in their lives, their development, and their walk with Jesus. They get opportunities that they would normally never have had. At the moment the girls are all busy with school, they have tests almost every week. A number of girls, besides school, have 3 hours of extra English lessons every week They are very motivated and spend a lot of time studying and doing homework.
Project Held to Mozambique and Kenya
Project Held is travelling to Mozambique and Kenya in August. During this 12-day trip, a small team of people will visit the children's home of Iris Ministries, led by the Dutch Corrie Ockhuysen. The team will stay in the children's home and, in addition to having a good time with the children, they will also provide practical help such as improving the internet so that Corrie can more easily contact the outside world.
After Mozambique, the group will leave for Kenya to visit the Hope4Hope project and participate with the children who live there and the children who live in the area. Since the beginning of 2018, Project Held has been supporting this great project in which poor children are helped and have hope for a good future. We would love to bless the children in the various projects enormously, if you want to make a donation for this, you can do so on the account number of Project Held / House of Heroes, NL54 ABNA 050.26.41.754 incl. gift PH mission trip August.
