THANK YOU!!  WE ASKED AND YOU RESPONDED!!
Money is still coming in from our July 1 appeal --- and is still needed!!!  RPCVs from Peru, Colombia, Gabon, Colombia, Ethiopia & Eritrea, Colombia, Ecuador, Colombia, Guatemala, Colombia and Costa Rica have responded generously. Friends of Colombia and Colombia RPCVs have been strong supporters for twenty years and TCP Global would not have thrived without them, or without the National Peace Corps Association which provides not only 501(c)3 and banking services but also a platform to share our message with the RPCV community.
Friends of Colombia (FOC) ---- with us since the start.
Colombia RPCVs and their families again responded generously. FOC supported The Colombia Project since its origin in 2000 and continues to support TCP Global with funds, referrals and publicity. Over the last ten years, FOC and its members donated most of the $84,300 that has been invested more than 6 times to fund 2000 loans in Colombia worth nearly $500,000. Colombian non-profits administering loan programs earned $80,000 for projects, including COVID relief.
'Peace Corps Connect' in Action
Friends of Niger (FON) recommended  Potentiel Terre, OURZP and FIFED as good micro-loan partners. Those 3 brought in 13 more. Niger RPCVs Jocelyn Farrington and Michael Klinger found us through FON and signed up their own NGOs for TCP Global loans. Jocelyn then introduced Ibrahim Boubacar, former Niger Peace Corps consultant who is now our Niger Advisor. Thanks to FON connections, we supported nearly 1500 loans worth $115,000 in the last 3 years.
Friends of Nepal - publicity and a donation
Publicity through the Friends of Nepal newsletter brought two prospective mentors to TCP Global to help with 28 loan sites in remote regions of Nepal. Those sites were recommended by Yogi Kayastha, a former Peace Corps Nepal language instructor who now oversees Norway Development Fund programs. Friends of Nepal also made a donation towards the $5000 TCP Global paid the National Peace Corps Association (NPCA) - Community Fund as fiscal agent for the $57,000 sent to Nepal in the last 18 months.
Friends of Nigeria - a recommendation
On a recommendation from Friends of Nigeria, TCP Global signed an agreement with John Dada and FANTSUAM in mid 2019. Nine months ago, FANTSUAM decided to serve as a fiscal agent to help smaller organizations access TCP Global loans, bringing in seven more sites to date. FANTSUAM used part of its $9000 earnings as a match for a grant to repair their main access road.
Recommendations from Friends-Of groups streamlines the partner vetting process which helps TCP Global operate with zero overhead.

TCP Global is grateful for support from RPCVs from the following countries. We seek to establish partnerships with the Friends-Of groups of those countries as well.
Sierra Leone RPCV Mark Zober & his Colombia RPCV wife, Marilyn Farber, funded the first loan site and facilitated 3 more in Sierra Leone.
Uganda RPCVs Ron Geason and Haley Block introduced TCP Global to micro-loan partners, helping to make Uganda our most active country with 38 loan sites.
Kenya RPCV Mary Kelahan Ternoey funded the first 6 allocations to Kenya and Kathleen Schilb volunteered to mentor Kenya sites.
CAPCA will donate proceeds from an annual fundraiser to TCP Global -- recognizing that we serve many countries where their members served as Peace Corps Volunteers.
Thank you from TCP Global.
RPCVs of Madison donated $1400 towards TCP Global's obligation to the NPCA Community Fund which in turn supports RPCV initiatives at home and abroad: - a win-win-win.
Thank you from TCP Global.
The NPCA Affiliate Group Partnering for Peace promotes partnerships primarily with Rotary. Good Idea!  4 TCP Global site administrators and 5 team members are Rotarians.
Poverty is the absence of all human rights. The frustrations, hostility and anger generated by abject poverty cannot sustain peace in any society.   - Muhammad Yunus

How you can support TCP Global:

1) Connect TCP Global to a grassroots partner like YOGI in Nepal. Join the TCP Global team in zoom sessions to support the loan program.

2) Forward this notice so others can learn from Judith in Uganda the difference a small loan makes.

3) Volunteer like Kenney, to mentor a loan program in a country you know well.

4) Make a donation like RPCVs of Chicago, Kansas City, Long Island and Madison-Wisconsin, and Friends of Colombia and Nepal.
Until Peace Corps is back in the field, TCP Global is a good substitute for Peace Corps Partnership Projects for supporting development in small and remote communities around the world.
