Magdalena, a Village Health Promoter and midwife in Guatemala opened a loan program 4 years ago because increased family income yields better health outcomes.
She issues 25 loans per year and recently used interest earnings to construct a latrine where pregnant ladies can collect urine samples to receive the full range of pregnancy screenings.
MINICOL, a longtime TCP partner in Colombia, provides mentoring and financial support to ensure that children from impoverished families are able to complete their education.
In Kenya, Development in Gardening (DIG) helps families grow nutritious food, becoming more healthy, resilient and self-sufficient in the process. Production increased with the introduction of micro-loans in 2019 and they now help feed their communities as well.
AVIDI is part of the Water Charity team bringing safe water to every community in Togo. In May of 2020 they added TCP Global micro-loans.
