Why FOC supports TCP Global

Friends of Colombia, through its annual donation, has donated over $10,000 to The Colombia Project - TCP Global specifically for Colombia.

A small loan granted to a start–up small business empowers the family and the community. When a washing machine can be purchased, a laundry business begins. When a sewing machine is purchased, a seamstress is added to the community. When a cell phone is purchased, a communication business connects to the outside world. When inventory is purchased, a convenience store appears on the street corner.

A modest loan has a rippling effect of improving the quality of life in the family and community.

Friends of Colombia brings together returned Peace Corps Volunteers and staff who served in Colombia and others who share this interest to exchange information among themselves and between them and Colombia.
