TCP Global is one small part of the financial services solution, issuing loans in the $30-$800 range to trusted entrepreneurs lacking the collateral and credit history required by most financial services providers
The six women above are leaders of 30-member savings groups. After a year lending to each other from pooled savings, they saw that small loans improve business outcomes and they wanted larger and more frequent loans.
With the support of CCEDUC, a registered non-profit in Uganda, they entered agreements for TCP Global loans.
Now they have their savings accounts and TWO sources for loans.
SONCOL, an education NGO in
La Victoria, Colombia used TCP Global earnings to offer two additional financial services:
Good credit with TCP helped Sonia qualify for a bank loan to remodel her home and day care center.
Colombian banks are open to our low- risk borrowers.
We encourage partners to help the most successful borrowers enter the formal economy with regular bank loans.
Hippolita used her 1st loan to buy a stove. After her empanada business grew, she qualified for regular bank loans.
There are many talented, hardworking people like Gloria who need access to financial services to reach their potential. She sold on the street in Santa Marta, Colombia before receiving her first loan. Gloria now has a thriving business selling WAYUU weavings and dresses and provides jobs to help others in the Guajira avoid displacement.
How you can support TCP Global:
1) Connect us with potential loan partners in marginalized communities
2) Volunteer to mentor a loan program in a country you know well
