These happy women represent 11 Village Savings & Loan Associations in Northern Uganda graduating this month from the TCP Global micro-loan program -- thanks to help from their fiscal sponsor, CCEDUC,
In under 2 years, their loan pools grew to support $300 loans to each of their 30 borrowers twice per year.
They can mentor new groups, be role models, manage their funds, freeing CCEDUC to help others.
TCP Global is the first step on the climb out of poverty. The plan is for our graduated groups to help their most successful borrowers graduate to bank loans and enter the formal economy.
La Victoria in Colombia earned $30,020 in just over 11 years      always keeping interest below bank rates.

With $21,602 from TCP Global, SONCOL issued 626 loans worth $176K and maintains a 98.5% repayment rate despite the pandemic.

Rita & SONCOL use earnings to benefit the community:

1) complete the community center
2) repair a storm-damaged roof
3) provide COVID relief
4) establish an education loan pool
5) create a sewing cooperative
COVID relief in La Victoria.
17 La Victoria scholars received low-interest education loans.
20 graduated sites invested each dollar received 4.6 times
Many, like Rita, remain involved to mentor newer sites
Suan, Colombia - 253 loans worth $47,000+ in 5 years

PROEDUPAZ: 66 borrowers in Suan, Colombia received 253 loans worth $47,000 in just over 5 years. The repayment rate dropped to 97% during the pandemic.

Alejo volunteers his time to run the loan program from his home.
For the International Day of Women, PROEDUPAZ inspired young ladies to take pride in their abilities. They also offer entrepreneurial workshops and teach life skills.
Multiple loans helped Cesar and Angela build a better life.
AGROVIDA - Trujillo Peru
98% repayment rate
invested each donated dollar 4.9 times in 6 years
With 10 guinea pigs and training from AGROVIDA and a TCP Global loan, in 9 months, Maria had a robust business and now serves as an example for women in her community.

She is thankful she can provide for her family and has a mission and purpose in life.

Since 2015, the AGROVIDA clinic issues loans to clients in Trujillo, and Otuzco.

In 2021, Pedro connected TCP Global to a new site in the Amazon.
Earnings funded reservoirs for irrigation. Farmers talked with TCP Global's Andrew Koch (below) in 2019 about the impact on their lives.
Rather than migrate to the cities, families now have the option of living off the land.
CASA COLIBRI CLINIC brought TCP Global loans to remote Guatemala communities in 2015. They graduated in 2020.
These are the first of 108 borrowers through the 3 Casa Colibri Clinic loan programs. $11.3K from TCP Global funded 440 loans worth $92K.
Antonio runs one and set up the two other Guatemala programs. Dave, a Guatemala RPCV / Rotarian, pictured here with a loan recipient, visited multiple times.
"The developing world is full of entrepreneurs and visionaries who, with access to education, equity and credit would play a key role in developing the economic situation in their countries."               Muhammad Yunus
TCP Global is grateful for recent donations from the groups below to help pay for fiscal sponsor services provided by the National Peace Corps Association (NPCA). These donations support NPCA project administration and NPCA's overall mission. 100% of regular donations are distributed as micro loans. We would love to add your group's logo here as well.
Until Peace Corps is fully back in the field, TCP Global is a good substitute for Peace Corps Partnership Projects for supporting development in small and remote communities around the world.
