We're Opening
for In-Person Learning October 12!

It’s going to be a big day with lots of whooping and hollering! We have been eagerly anticipating the return of students to our schools, and we couldn’t be more overjoyed.

Beginning October 12th, students assigned to In-person Learning classrooms will return to school for either an AM or PM session and then participate in additional activities during the alternate AM or PM session at home. Each school will share its grade-level weekly schedules for students including in-person, Google Meets, and independent work for AM and PM learning assignments.

Distance Learning students will continue in their virtual studies. Our teachers and families have made sacrifices and invested deeply to ensure children are continuously learning.  We are hopeful that COVID conditions continue to improve so that we are able to fully welcome any and all students who are ready to return full-time, every day.

We will update the district website weekly with current information so that you can plan ahead for any future changes.

Please know that we will continue to offer Distance Learning classes.
We look forward to meeting with all of our families during parent-teacher conferences and welcoming children as we open our school doors on October 12th.

#MaskUpAZ For Students and Staff

To ensure that every Arizonan does their part to stop the spread of COVID-19, the Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) and the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) expanded their #MaskUpAZ program to students and school staff.

All students and school staff in Arizona can order five washable, reusable cloth face masks.
Order masks here.

On-Site Support Services

In support of the Governor’s Executive Order, the district is offering on-site support opportunities for students who need access to their learning during the school day. The Arizona Department of Education currently describes this service as a “safe learning space for students who are at-risk, in special education programs or who are the students of essential workers.”

The district will expand free, on-site opportunities to all six schools starting October 12th. The multi-purpose rooms will be open for students to be able to use Chromebooks with internet connection to complete their distance learning.

Children will be supervised by a support staff member for safety, but they will not be engaged in structured activities. If you plan for your child to utilize this service, please complete the form that corresponds to your child's school to register in advance.

Free Virtual Tutoring Opportunities

The GCU Learning Lounge is proud to offer academic support to local K-12 students in our community. These students are tutored and mentored by specially trained college scholars who are passionate about helping the next generation of learners.
This is the link to schedule an appointment. The permission form has to be completed first and then parents can schedule. Schedule 24 hours before the appointment time requested, with the limitation of only scheduling two weeks in advance.

Census 2020

It’s not too late to respond to the 2020 Census. When you respond, you help your community get its fair share of funding for services that matter like healthcare, after-school programs, school nutrition services, even childcare and public transportation.

Responding to the census is safe and it just takes a few minutes. If you haven’t responded yet, take a few minutes to get it done online at, by phone at 844.330.2020, or by sending back the form you received at your home.

You’ll skip the visit from a census worker and you’ll help shape the next decade in our state. Be counted, Arizona!
