Selected applicants volunteer their time to coach the best junior racers in the Central Region during these championship events, and should expect extra travel days at the beginning and the end of each trip. (Three day weekend trips should be prepared to leave midweek for their trip.) Travel, Room, Board and Expenses related to the trip are covered for official staff members.
The GLD JN Team, the MW JN Team, the CXC U18 Trip, and the CXC U16 Trip process involves submitting a single online application that applies to all the trips.
Our trip leadership for these trips will select coaches from the pool of CXC Junior Coach Applicants for these four trips to strengthen the staff of each trip. Which trip you are chosen for will be at the discretion of the Joint Trip Leadership Groups, but the Joint Trip Leadership Groups will work to accommodate specific trip requests and special circumstances.
This application is now open and we would invite applications from interested coaches. Applications can be submitted online and are due October 24.
We highly encourage you to apply. Being a part of the experience of coaching U16, U18 or Junior Nationals will offer you a fantastic opportunity to assist, advise and collaborate with athletes and coaches in our region and beyond. It expands your expertise and knowledge of both the technical, sport and management aspects of trip leadership.
We would appreciate your application. You are never too young or old to offer assistance and expertise to these events, you have a lot to offer. You will take back as much or more from the experience, and be able to offer more to the athletes than you can imagine.
We’ll be happy to answer any questions you have, and encourage you to apply no matter your experience or expertise level!
