The Write 2 Heal Author Talk, Friday, September 23rd at 12:00 p.m.
Writer and disability advocate from Texas, Jeanetta Price, will read a selection from the book, The Write 2 Heal Anthology. In this book, ten authors share their stories of physical sight loss and the “vision gained” throughout the journey. After reading the selections from the book, Price will discuss: 1. How she has been able to persevere through challenges; 2. The meaning of “gaining vision” through sight loss; and 3. What inspired her to write her way to healing.
The event will be held in the New Books Area on the 1st Floor of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library (901 G Street, NW).
