Thank you, Sr. Rita Mary!

We congratulate Sr. Rita Mary Harwood as she retires after 26 years of ministry in the diocese. It's hard to believe the time has come to say goodbye. She is one of a kind, and we have been tremendously blessed by her presence in our lives! We invite you to pray the following blessing in thanksgiving for Sr. Rita Mary.

All praise and glory are yours, almighty and eternal God. You created this earth and all it contains and placed creation within our care so that by the work of human hands we might share in your creative power and build up human society.

Look with kindness and blessing upon Sr. Rita Mary, our co-worker, mentor and friend, who has contributed to our Parish Life family, the Catholic Church and our local community, especially the most vulnerable, and who is now retiring.

Allow her the time to survey all that she has accomplished and give her satisfaction and fulfillment for all her labors, as you did on the seventh day, when you rested and saw that all you had made was good.

Give her peace and help her in this period of adjustment. Reassure her of your love and open new ways for her to share her gifts for the benefit of others.

We praise you, God of love, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

- Adapted from Catholic Household Blessings & Prayers, Revised Edition.
Thank you, Sr. Rita Mary for all you've contributed over the years - we'll miss your dedication and enthusiasm. We wish you a long, happy retirement.

Invitation to the Listening Process for the Ecclesial Assembly of Latin America

The Office of Hispanic Affairs at the United States Conference Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has just received an urgent invitation from the Consejo Episcopal Latinoamericano (CELAM). They want to hear the voice of Latino immigrants in the United States, and they need our help. Do not miss this opportunity to guide the future of the Church in the American continent!

Individuals can respond at a personal level, or a parish can organize a group to respond, but the process is the same. The first step is to register on the page of the Asamblea Eclesial.
