A Summer Prayer for Families

May we make our homes places of relaxation,
joy, love, peace and safety.
May we be generous and considerate,
not thinking only about ourselves,
but helping others enjoy the blessings of the summertime.
Lord God, Creator of all things,
guide our steps and strengthen our hearts
during these months of summer and vacation days.
Grant us refreshment of mind and body.
May we constantly strive to make a meaningful difference
in the lives of our loved ones and in the world around us
as we enjoy the warm days of summertime. Amen.

Happy Father's Day!

On Sunday, June 20, we encourage families to pray the Order of Blessings for celebrating Father’s Day in households. Available for download here.

"God our Father, in your wisdom and love you made all things. Bless these men, that they may be strengthened as Christian fathers. Let the example of their faith and love shine forth. Grant that we, their sons and daughters, may honor them always with a spirit of profound respect." - from Order of Blessings

Religious Freedom Week 2021

Religious freedom allows the Church, and all religious communities, to live out their faith in public and to serve the good of all.  Beginning June 22, the feast of Sts. Thomas More and John Fisher, the USCCB invites Catholics to pray, reflect, and act to promote religious freedom.  Find daily prayer intentions, reflections and suggested action steps here, and a message from Bishop Malesic here.

World Refugee Day is June 20, 2021. The Diocesan Social Action Office will be releasing an interfaith prayer service that day. We encourage you to take time to listen to stories and witness and pray together. As Pope Francis emphasized in his most recent encyclical Fratelli Tutti we are all brothers and sisters. Other resources for World Refugee Day include information from Justice for Immigrants here at and Catholic Relief Services here.

Letters of Support for Immigrants and Refugees

In these days many people looking to legalize or change their immigration status in the USA are in need of assistance and support in the process. In many cases they need letters that speak of their “good moral character.”  These letters are important and should contain certain elements to make them more effective. Fr. Rob Reidy has offered to assist in the writing of these letters. You can email or call him at Mary Queen of the Apostles Parish, 216-433-1440 x11. You can also contact Immigration Legal Services at Migration and Refugee Services at 216-939-3769.

The Young Adult Ministry website has a new look!

Do not let the past disturb you,
just leave everything in
