November Recap
Community Thanksgiving Dinner
This year's Community Thanksgiving dinner served 255 meals throughout the West Haven community.  A huge Thank you to Bill Ewry and all of the volunteers & donors that make this dinner possible and help us bring food & fellowship to those that may not otherwise have it on this special day.

The dinner is an annual event hosted by the church to provide a delicious meal on Thanksgiving.  The dinner is served in the afternoon and welcomes everyone.  Guests from all walks of life gather to enjoy not just the traditional turkey dinner, but also the company of fellow guests and volunteers.  Meals are also delivered to those that have difficulties leaving their homes with driving assistance coordinated by Knights of Columbus.
Sermon Recordings
There are new sermon recordings available for November 17 & 24.  For now the recordings are audio only, however they can still be accessed both through the website as well as the YouTube channel.

If you would like to be notified when a new sermon is available, please reply to this email to let us know.
November Updates
Monthly Mission Emphasis

The Mission Emphasis for the month of December is the Christmas Fund (formerly Veterans of the Cross).  The Christmas Fund has been a tangible expression of God’s love and light in the world for over 115 years. One of the four Special Mission Offerings of the United Church of Christ, the Christmas Fund provides UCC congregations and members an opportunity to reach out in compassion to those who have faithfully shepherded our Church and who now find themselves facing worrisome financial needs. The United Church Board for Ministerial Assistance, the charitable arm of the Pension Boards, on behalf of the whole church, passes on this direct support so that these needs may be met and our support may be felt.

Please use the small brown envelopes provided during Sunday services to contribute to this month's emphasis.

There will be a special Christmas Eve offering collection to benefit Alex's Kitchen.  Learn more about this Special Collection and this outreach of our church here.
Giving Tree Collection
The Giving Tree for December will be collecting mittens, gloves, scarves and hats (children and adult).

Let’s give the gift of warmth to those in need in for the cold weather months ahead of us.  Please leave donations near the Giving Tree in Fellowship Hall.
Thank you all for your support throughout the year! Wishing you all a Blessed Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year from the Mission Committee.
