Online Resources
As part of ongoing social distancing efforts, in-person gatherings continue to be temporarily suspended at FCCWH.  May sermon videos are available online on both the church website and FCCWH YouTube Channel.  The prayer list and prayer request information are also kept up to date on the website.  Below are all the links you'll need to access content that has been posted online.  We will continue to post new material as it is available until we are able to meet in person again.

Zoom Meetings
At the end of May, Pastor Carl started holding Zoom meetings for people to keep in touch while in-person meetings are suspended.  These meetings will continue and include Bible Study and Virtual Office Hours, all are welcome to join.  Below is the current schedule:
Bible Study & Sermon Review (based on that week's sermon) -
Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30pm

Office Hours (fellowship & idea-sharing) - Wednesdays, 2pm-4pm

June Updates
A Note From Christian Education:
CONGRATULATIONS to Abbie Collins on her graduation from West Haven High School. Abbie will be attending Eastern Connecticut State University in the fall and majoring in Psychology.  

We would also like to congratulate Bella Randolph and Addy Parise with their induction into the National Junior Honor Society at Bailey Middle School. 

All of us here at FCCWH are proud of all of your accomplishments and the accomplishments of all the children this school year. It has been a difficult one for the children and parents. 
We are continuing with our Zoom Sunday School classes. Kirsten Vargo is currently having classes on Sunday Mornings at 10 am for PreK 4yr olds through 2nd graders and at 11 am for the 3rd grade through 6th grade students. If you would like to have your child join our Zoom Sunday School classes please reach out to Kirsten (  Pastor Carl, Ruth Costa and Kirsten will resume Confirmation Classes this month and the classes will wrap up this summer.
Silver Lake has launched a Silver Lake at Home program. Many of you may have received information regarding this program. If you are interested in knowing more please visit their website linked here.
June Mission Emphasis
The Mission Emphasis for the month of June is Helping Hands. This fund, managed by the Pastor, allows immediate help for someone in dire need, whether it is for a grocery gift card, help with a utility bill, rent or mortgage assistance or even bus fare. Requests are confidential and helps someone who may be in emergent need due to a change in circumstances (job loss, illness, etc;). This Helping Hands fund relies on donations only. Please consider giving to our monthly emphasis. The help you give could be to an anonymous stranger, a friend or neighbor. Whoever it may be, will be grateful for the assistance. Please mail in your payment notating Monthly Mission Emphasis June/Helping Hands. Now more than ever, this fund is truly needed!

Saying Prayers of Gratefulness

If you would like to request a Candle of Honor dedication while services are suspended, contact Barbara Brown at 203-430-0298 or  The suggested donation it $5.  Dedications are shared in the monthly newsletter as well as on the church website, Facebook page, and Instagram.
