On Friday, May 3, 2019, at 4:20 pm(Colorado Time) we officially submitted our open source draft of the language and the signature sheets of 25 registered voters to the California State Legislature Office requesting assistance to complete the drafting of the 2020 California Psilocybin Decriminalization and Research Initiative.
The next stage should take a few weeks of back and forth with the Legislature Office before it's ready to submit with a check for $2,000 to get the Title and Summary from the State.
To be clear, this is not a Prop 64 Legalization Model, this is not a taxation/permitting initiative, this is not hyper over-regulation.
This is a Decriminalization Initiative designed to protect people from prosecution and to allow small cultivators to establish themselves without fear of persecution and asset seizures.
In other news, we have been helping out Decriminalize Denver with the final push for their historic vote on May 7th, 2019.
Because of the heroic effort of Kevin Matthews and his volunteer team, this is where the first battle for Decriminalizing Psychedelic Mushrooms will be won.
So give them some love because they deserve it!
Peace,
-Ryan Munevar
