With todays announcement by the New Zealand Government that we will be moving from Level 3 down to Level 2, within the next 48hrs, Cromwell Youth Trust (CYT) are excited to announce we will be re-opening!
Although we would love to re-open all of our programmes and services; we are only partially re-opening and implementing our Level 2 plan.
This email contains important details of what exactly Level 2 looks like for CYT. So please see all the details below:
We are excited to announce that The Hangout Youth Centre will be officially re-opening on Monday 18th May - but with changes in its operation compared to how it regularly operates. Please see the infographic below:
Please be aware that there are some FAQS further down the email to clarify any potential questions.
We have made it very simple and easy to book a space for coming to The Hangout during Level 2 - but if you need assistance please do not hesitate to contact our team | email@example.com
Want to have your child and his/her friend attend at the same time? Then forward this email onto your friends and let them know!
From Wednesday 13th May our office, 5A Murray Terrace, will be back in operation, with Rhys & Eden returning from working remotely these past couple of months.
Our office hours will be 10am - 5pm, for this week only, with our regular office hours (10am - 6pm) resuming from Monday 18th May.
Youth Development Programmes (YDPs)
Our YDPs that were suspended, due to COVID-19, will still be on hold until we drop down to Level 1. This includes our 'Get Your Music On', 'Brew like a Barista' and 'Indoor Skydiving'. Future YDPs are in development but will not be implemented until, the earliest, Term 3
We absolutely love our Holiday Programmes and we are so excited to let you know we are currently working on an exciting and adventurous Winter Holiday Programme that will be affordable and offer a variety of activities.
1-on-1 mentoring will resume but will take place at The Hangout Youth Centre during the day.
Youth Workers in Schools
Our Youth Workers will not be returning to do school visits during lunch breaks during Level 2; we will return to do this during Level 1
How do I book my child/rens spot?
Easy, just click on the blue link that is located further above the email. Or alternatively click this link | Book a Spot
My child is book in but their friend isn't - can they both just turn up?
Unfortunately no, we will only be accepting participants who have booked in.
I would highly recommend sharing this email with your child's friends parents/guardians so they can book in for the same day (if spaces are available)
Why a total of eight (8) youth per session?
This is to ensure we only have a maximum of 10 people on site at once, including Rhys & Eden, based on the guidelines set by the NZ Government.
If we allowed any and all youth to attend it could become unsafe.
What if their are spaces available when my child turns up, can they then join?
Unfortunately we will only be allowing whoever has booked - so again we highly recommend booking your child in, it is completely free and takes seconds.
When can I begin to book?
Right now, it is all ready to go. Just visit the link above or click here | Book a Spot
Can my child just hang outside?
We will have the outside area closed and will request all young people who are not booked in to politely move on. We apologise for this but it is what needs to be done, for the safety and wellbeing of everyone
I need my child to stay longer so I can pick them up, can they just wait inside?
Unfortunately no, we hope providing this information as early as possible allows you to develop a plan with your child once they finish their session.
We want to make sure all our young people are safe, but it is also important to know we are not a day care centre or after school care.
