Haere Mai!

Welcome to August - can you believe we are in the last days of Winter before Spring takes over?!?!

CYT had an incredibly busy month of July; we were having an average of 40 young people throughout The Hangout Youth Centre whilst operating during the term time and then with our Winter Holiday Programme we enjoyed a great mixture of activities that were all at full; or near; capacity. Seeing so many smiling faces enjoying themselves during activities such as paintball, ice skating, board game day, Realm VR and more really makes our team love what we do.

Coming up during August we will be excited to introduce our newest member to the Cromwell Youth Trust team; bringing the number to four (4) Youth Workers within our local community - which is fantastic. This will mean more programmes and more opportunities for our young people to be supported.

We also have so much to be thankful for - from the support provided to our fundraising effort for Sebastian - which has raised around $1,600 for him and his family. Too community businesses providing some great support to our growing organisation - including two (2) 20ft containers and transport to help us store our amazing gear for our youth. We are also continually thankful for the opportunities to gain funding support for our rangatahi from various funding organisations. Click here to see all our supporters.

Enjoy our August newsletter and we loo forward to all the amazing things coming throughout this month and beyond.

We Danced for a Cause!

Cromwell Youth Trust was proud to host our fun night of dancing and singing to support Sebastian during his battle with cancer. The 'Dance for a Cause' Fundraiser raised an amazing $800 with over 80 rangatahi from grades 7 & 8 attending the evening.
Thankyou to all those who supported the cause - DJ Dan, Emma O'Reilly, Remarkable Sweet Shop, Cromwell Sports Club, The Warehouse Alexandra and volunteer teachers and seniors from Cromwell College. We also want to acknowledge the hard work done by CYTs own Youth Worker Fran Dustin who has done an incredible job to organise all this for Sebastian - and more! If you wish to continue contributing; in some way; please contact
