RECENT UPDATES AND REMINDERS
The State of the Church was held Sunday, April 3 at the West Campus.

GUIDELINE UPDATE:  As we move forward from the pandemic (with Douglas County in the green zone), Trustees have approved ending the reopening guidelines that offered steps to care for our congregation as we began to gather in person again. We are now fully open. We will continue to provide masks and sanitizers in our buildings for those who chose to use them. Groups may require restrictions (e.g., masking, distancing) for their gatherings.  We will continue to monitor the situation and take action as needed.
FIRST CHURCH SPECIAL OFFERING UPDATE: $9,256.50 has been received for UMCOR's Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine.
 EASTER WORSHIP AND EVENTS
Like to contribute toward the spring flowers for our Easter worship?  Sign-up online at fumclawrence.org or ask for a form at the Church Office.  $10 suggested donation. Donate in honor, in memory, or just for fun!  Mark your check “flower donation” or select that fund through online giving. 
GOOD FRIDAY, APRIL 15, 7:00 PM, at the WEST CAMPUS
Join us for this Good Friday service filled with powerful monologues and haunting musical selections as we hear words from those who were eyewitness to the events surrounding the betrayal, arrest, and crucifixion of Jesus.

Coffee House Worship is an informal service where students share individual gifts such as poetry, music, readings, skits, reflections, and more in a coffeehouse open-mic style. Before each worship, we have a two-hour coffee and community time where students can gather to catch up or simply be together in community. Looking ahead, student leaders will share a multi-day Holy Week series on Jesus’ last days on earth exploring the significance of the Last Supper and its Jewish heritage. Other events this month include a campus Peace Gathering for the Ukraine, Earth Day celebrations, Coffee House Worship, the return of Noodle Night, and a final Campfire Worship. IN THE COMMUNITY
join the Fun!  Square dance lessons are starting now. Happy Time Squares, a Lawrence-based Club, offers the opportunity for fun, friendship, and enjoyable exercise through square dancing. The first three lessons are free.  Classes are held at Centenary United Methodist Church, 4th & Elm St, starting April 18, 2022, from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 pm.  Call Carl and Mary K Bahnmaier at 785-393-4080 or Mkfpage@hotmail.com for more information.  Regular dances are held at FUMC West Campus on the second Saturday each month 7:00-9:00 pm.
