Introduction to Sweden at Expo 2020 in Dubai (3:50 min).

“Swedes have had a co-creation mentality for a very long time. It's natural for Swedes to think that if we use knowledge from all sectors of society and industry and put them together to become something new, we can do good. Not only for ourselves, but also for the entire world.”
Anders Lönnberg, Commissioner General of Sweden

In the fall of 2019, it is time for the groundbreaking ceremony, when we start building our pavilion.

450 tree-trunks; some freestanding 18 m high trees and some carrying tree-houses almost 10 metres up in the sky. Built with a very limited use of mineral wool, concrete, metal and other CO2-intense industrial materials...  if you would like to know more about our pavilion we would like to share this article with you as The Forest has already gained attention as one of the Top 10 Pavilions at the upcoming Expo 2020.

More than 60 million work hours have been completed on the 4.38 sqkm site. All construction is on track, with major works on Expo-built structures due to be completed by October 2019, a year before gates open.

The Swedish theme: "Co-creation for innovation" will be the guiding principle in everything that will take place on site in Dubai, from; exhibitions, entertainment, learning, workshops and more.
