2985 Washtenaw Ave, Ypsilanti, MI 48197

Swoop’s and Fresh Thyme Market in Ypsilanti are collaborating again this year to host a food drive during the month of November, which coincides with Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (Nov 16-24). During the food drive, shoppers can help stock shelves by donating pasta, pasta sauce, peanut butter, tortillas and more! Be sure to stop and meet our volunteers at the front of the store to learn more about Swoop’s. On November 23rd, help the drive will wrap up with a BBQ! All proceeds will help Swoop’s continue to stock the shelves and fill the fridges.

Fall Food Drives
A special thank you to the five colleges here at EMU for hosting Fall Food Drives during the month of December. Departments within each college competed head-to-head to see who could collect the most donations during their opening faculty meeting. In total, over 4,500 items were donated and $1,300 were raised in support of Swoop’s. Here are the winning departments for each college:

College of Business: Accounting and Finance
College of Engineering and Technology: Technology & Professional Services Management
College of Education: Teacher Education
College of Health and Human Services: Social Work

Thank you to every department that supported these events! Swoop’s appreciates your generosity in helping stock the shelves for those who utilize the pantry.
