Kroger Grant

We are so grateful to Kroger who has recently donated $10,000 to
Eastern Michigan University’s Swoop’s Food Pantry to support
EMU college students.

Since 2018, Kroger has contributed $70,000 to Swoop’s Food Pantry. These donations have allowed Swoop's to purchase items that don't regularly get donated and to support staffing of the pantry.

2022 Giving Madness Tournament Results!
Swoop's Food Pantry was part of EMU's Give Rise Giving Madness Tournament. In the last round, Swoop's was up against the Student Emergency Fund for the College of Business. Both teams were amazing contestants, but Swoop's took the gold!

Graduation Regalia

The summer semester is coming to an end and graduating students are looking forward to graduation.
Swoop's has created a way to make it easier for students to graduate without spending money on something they are only going to wear once.
We accept donated regalia, wash it and loan it to Swoop's shoppers. If you know of anyone that has regalia to donate, please have them get in touch with Swoops!

Team member of the month

The Team Member of the Month for July is Jai! Jai is a junior in the Social Work program here at EMU.

As one of Swoop’s team members, Jai helps make the pantry run smoothly by helping shoppers and making the pantry a safe and positive environment.
Jai was nominated for TMOTM for her ready-to-go attitude, happy and positive personality, and her infectious smile and laugh.

Jai is originally from Detroit, Michigan. An interesting fact about her is that she likes to express herself through body art.
