Newly Expanded SNAP Benefits for Students

As of April 1st, more college students are eligible for SNAP benefits due to the COVID-19 emergency.

 
Eligibility:

Instead of a work requirement of 20hrs per week, Students must be:
  • Work Study eligible OR 
  • Have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $0 on their FAFSA.
  • All other standard income/asset limits apply to all SNAP applicants.

Swoop's staff members are currently supporting EMU Students in submitting applications for newly expanded SNAP benefits.
