Whilst we are home and probably missing days out, did you know you can take tours of museums, without queues, from the comfort of your sofa?
This is a list of local services and activities available for residents in Crowthorne and Wokingham Without. Please note that the Parish Council isn't endorsing these businesses, only sharing information on services currently available for residents. 

Gardening and DIY
  • Squires Garden Centre, Heathlands Road - currently taking telephone orders for local delivery - £50 or over. Call on 0118 977 3055 between 9am - 1pm
  • Longacres Garden Centre, Bagshot - currently taking online orders for local delivery - further details available online. 
  • Oaktrees Garden Centre, Warfield - currently taking orders via telephone on 01344 890 667 for local delivery of 'isolation packages' of gardening items. £10 local delivery or free on orders over £100. 
  • Rogers Hardware store on Greenwood Road is also still open and can supply green food waste bags (limited stocks) and garden waste bags for Wokingham residents.

Vehicles / Garages

Simple Rhubarb Crumble

Grays Farm on Heathlands Road is now open on Saturdays between 9am and noon for Pick Your Own rhubarb - or you can buy directly from the cart!


  • 10 sticks of rhubarb
  • 8 tbsp of caster sugar
  • 1tsp ground ginger
  • 110g butter, softened
  • 110g demerara sugar
  • 200g plain flour


  • Preheat the oven to 180c / gas mark 4
  • Cut the rhubarb into sticks, approximately 7-8cm long and place on a baking tray, sprinkled with 4 tablespoons of water and the caster sugar. Roast for 10 minutes.
  • Fill an ovenproof dish with the roasted rhubarb to around 4cm depth.
  • Sprinkle the ginger over the roasted rhubarb and mix well
  • Rub the butter into the flour and sugar to make a crumble topping, then sprinkle over the rhubarb
  • Bake for 35-45 minutes or until the topping is crisp and golden-brown and the filling is softened and bubbling.
  • Serve with cream or custard!
