Gold Star Mothers

Once again, a beautiful Fallen Soldiers Tree is on display outside my office to commemorate the brave men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice to protect our country. Thank you to the Gold Star Mothers for their work and dedication to keeping these heroes' memories alive.

Please stop by the Capitol building this month if you get the chance and take a few moments to look at the tree and appreciate those who have given their lives for our freedom.

Remembering Pearl Harbor

This week marked the 80th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, "a date which will live in infamy." On December 7th, we remembered the 2,403 Americans who lost their lives in the attack and the 1,143 Americans who were wounded. We will always remember the brave men and women who stood in the face of evil to protect our country.

1776 Education Pledge

On Tuesday, November 30th, we held an event with more than 125 statewide candidates, lawmakers, city officials, school board members, and patriot citizens at the Powderhaus Brewery in Garden City, Idaho.

The overwhelmingly successful event was held to sign the 1776 Pledge, which supports the Trump Presidential 1776 Advisory Report in education. With over 50 signed pledges from across the state, President Trump made a surprise video appearance to personally thank everyone for being advocates of education in Idaho.

We received tremendous support from the community and across the state, and I greatly appreciate all those who participated in the event. $1300 in proceeds from the event were donated to the Boise Toys for Tots program.

Sincerely,

Lt. Governor Janice McGeachin
