February 2022 Updates

Hello Wayne County!

We have a lot of good information to share with you this month. This month’s newsletter highlights important items under Our People and Our Community. All of these pertain to at least one of our focus areas. Please share with your family, friends, and colleagues. And encourage them to sign up.

Build Learn Grow - Childcare Assistance

Indiana is working hard to make high-quality early learning and education opportunities more convenient and accessible for children from birth to age 12. Check to see if your family qualifies for Build, Learn, Grow assistance.
Indiana FAFSA Deadline

Indiana’s FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) deadline is April 15th. Be sure your student has submitted their application by that date to ensure they have potential access to all State and Federal grants.
ASPIN Health Navigator

Many families may not realize they qualify for free or low cost health coverage through Medicaid/HIP/CHIP/Marketplace. Right now is open enrollment for Marketplace and ASPIN Health Navigators are providing free assistance to residents in Indiana to help them get signed up. Navigators are “mobile” so they will go anywhere needed. Call today.
IHCDA Rental Assistance

Renters in Indiana may qualify for up to 15 months of rental assistance. If you need help paying your rent and have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, apply to IERA by visiting Indiana Housing Now or call 2-1-1.
