Forward Wayne County Updates Web Site

Forward Wayne County updated and redesigned their web site. You can check it out here! Our Impact page shows our current projects and successes.

Partnership on County Indicators

We partnered with the Wayne County Foundation to create a County Indicator s assessment. It shows where our county is at in a variety of areas and ties to our Big Indicators for Success.

County Receives OCRA Grant

Wayne County was the recipient of a $250,000 Phase 3 OCRA grant. Multiple parties worked on this and we congratulate them for their work on behalf of county businesses. Visit the Economic Development Corporation web site for more details on how eligible businesses can apply.

OUR PEOPLE

2021 Chamber Senior Hiring Fair

The Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce is re-imaging its high school job fair and Forward Wayne County is on board. This year, the fair will target seniors with no current plans after high school. Students will participate in on-site job interviews with local employers. What a great way to connect students and employers.

Career Journey Survey

Forward Wayne County sought input from the county’s 18 to 60- year-old population on furthering education and what would inspire them to do so. Results will be used to help develop a career awareness campaign on select in-demand jobs in Wayne County.

Rental Assistance

Indiana Housing Now
The Rental Assistance Portal is currently accepting applications for the Indiana Emergency Rental Assistance (IERA) program. This program can provide up to 12 months in rental assistance to help cover past due and ongoing monthly rent and utility payments for qualifying Indiana renters. Learn more here.
