April 2022 Updates

Hello Wayne County!

Multiple groups are seeking public input and we are sharing a few with you! This month’s newsletter highlights important items under Our People and Our Community. We appreciate your interest in Forward Wayne County. Please share with your family, friends, and colleagues. And encourage them to sign up.

Reid Health Seeks Community Input
Can you spare a few moments to take the Reid Health Community Health Survey? Let Reid Health know what is most important to you. Your feedback is important to help Reid better understand community health concerns and to guide improvement efforts! This survey is open to all residents in Reid Health’s service area. Deadline to complete is May 13th.
Possibilities Update
Since October, the Employability Coalition has been promoting high-demand careers in Wayne County on social media and through key partners. We invite the public to check out the Possibilities career Awareness campaign to see all of the opportunities in Wayne County. What’s great about this campaign? Local employers have verified information. You can train here, get a job here, and grow in a career in Wayne County.
Richmond Farmer's Market
The Richmond Farmers Market needs your input!  Your responses will be used to guide the direction of the Richmond Farmers Market Strategic Plan. Take the online survey here. There will also be printed copies of the survey at the Market.

Your input is critical. Richmond’s Advisory Plan Commission will hold a public input session at 5:30pm on May 25th on the 3rd floor Council Chambers at the Richmond Municipal Building. They want your ideas on how Richmond can improve its Zoning Code. Don’t miss this opportunity to provide suggestions.

In April, we focused our blogs on Health and Wellness. We asked Carrie Miles from Neighborhood Health Center to write a guest blog and share some tips on staying healthy with a busy schedule. We also welcomed our newest Forward Wayne County team member, Daniel Arthur!
Indiana Farm Bureau Speed Test

Please take a moment to complete the Indiana Speed Test at in your home. This test will pinpoint internet speeds, as well as no internet availability. The Wayne County Broadband Task Force needs your help to continue working on broadband deployment across the county.
