What's happening at AHLG?...

For the first time ever, we nominated ourselves for the MLSA (Master Landscapers of SA) awards, which was held at the Hilton Hotel in Adelaide, and were lucky enough to walk away as winners, claiming the ‘Residential Landscape Maintenance’ trophy!
We had a table of 12 attend the event and a great night was had by all, and the celebrations resembled that of a World Cup winning team! In fact, if anyone has seen our trophy roaming the streets of Adelaide, it was last seen with the friendly security staff at Rocket Bar on Hindley Street!!

Our tree crew have set off on an absolute flier, which has been great to see. We have taken on 2 extremely experienced climbers, one of which is a fully qualified arborist, and they are very good at what they do and are ripper blokes to go with it! They align perfectly with the high standards we set across the board and fit in well with our culture too. We’re very excited about this little team and where it will be in a few months time!.

Clint and his landscaping lads have reached the deadline for our Mount Lofty House ‘Sequoia’ project, and it looks UNREAL!!! Visit our socials to see a recent post and some snaps!! It was a huge learning curve for us all but our guys couldn’t have performed any better - rising to every single challenge sent their way.

If you or someone you know is in need of a superb landscaping job, give us a tingle as these guys will not disappoint!

A big push now to Christmas for us all and then a nice couple of weeks rest before another stomper year ahead!

On that note, Luke, Jarrad and all of the AHLG team would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas, and safe and prosperous 2020! Thank you for following our newsletter, our social media and also for your custom, if we have done some work for you this year. We will endeavour to raise the bar once again in 2020 and provide you with the best service possible!

Please note we will be closing our doors at midday on Tuesday 24th December and will reopen on Thursday 2nd January at 7.30am

Products we love & recommend...

Hydrolink Gran Plus

We’ve been using Hydrolink wetting agents for the past few summers and have found them to be a brilliant product for curing and preventing hydrophobic soil conditions. This allows water to penetrate deeper into the soil profile and retain the moisture for plant uptake. Although expensive, using Hydrolink can save up to 30% in water use throughout the summer. If your lawns & gardens have a history of struggling through the harsh SA summer or you’re using excessive amounts of water give this product a try!

Partner profile...

What the f...acts...

There are over 20,000 species of edible plants in the world. However, just 20 species provide 90% of human food.

Recent Projects...

We were asked to be a part of a video production for our financing company, Finestream Capital, being featured as one of their top clients. It took place at a beautiful property we maintain in Prospect and was certainly an interesting day out! Whilst we can’t share any video footage in The Creeping Gardener, here are a few still shots of Will and Lachi in action!

Machine of the Month ...

Triton Utes

Our machine of the month is our triton utes. We now have 8 on the road and have found them to be terrific work horses! They get put through a serious test at AHLG, towing massive trailers around to all parts of the Hills but are yet to miss a beat. While a hilux or ranger may have a few more features and ride slightly better, the tritons have proved to be brilliant value for money.
