Grace's Cafe
Do not look for Grace, or even ask for her.
The name of this café refers to offering dining service with courteous goodwill. (as per the literal definition) The family-owned business that opened in April 2019 serves all-day breakfast and lunch and it is apparent that Grace’s Cafe has established a following as a popular spot for Sunday breakfast. (and I would guess through the week).
In a non-obvious location in in the Trappe Center just west of Collegeville, the indoor space is tastefully outfitting with sturdy wooden tables and chairs. There is seating for over fifty diners and supplemental table space outside for those wishing to dine outdoors.

Forest & Main Brewing moving down the block
The Ambler mainstay is staying in Ambler, but they're moving to a bigger location a few blocks away. The new location will allow them to increase their capacity and bring us even more beer than before, according to their Facebook page. Forest & Main brews some delicious one-of-a-kind beers and have become known for the incredible art work on their cans. We highly recommend a visit. A new pub on Butler Ave. is also in the works for the expanding enterprise. Congrats on all! We can't wait to come and see the new spaces.

Popeyes in West Norriton coming soon
One man's feast is another man's midnight, I've had too much to drink Uber Eats call. Which one are you? We were actually around in New Orleans when the fast food chain first got its start, so we've been known to pop in for some popcorn shrimp from time time to time. We'll post about them again when they open.

A pleasant and efficient staff are dressed uniformly in black shirts with hashtags that mirror the positivity theme of Graces Café: #HaveCourage, #BeGrateful, #BeHappyandSmile, #KindnessisFree, and #BelieveinYourself.
Quick service and straightforward presentations of good food at reasonable prices are the hallmarks of Graces’ Café. Breakfast is available all day with a sizable lunch menu including soups, salads, hot and cold sandwiches, and lunch platters. The Facebook site refers to dinner service Thursday through Saturday evening 4 PM-7PM, but diners should check on the active status of this COVID dependent service.
We started with robust cups of coffee as we perused the menu. I chose the Meat Lovers Omelet with an add-on side of Scrapple that was served with a nice portion of crispy Hash Browns and Rye toast. The omelet consisted of eggs with Ham, Sausage, Bacon, and Cheese and was more a distribution of the co-stars in the eggs versus eggs rolled with the ingredients inside. I’m not so picky about the construction and there was plenty of meat added to the omelet. DW Sherri chose the Closeup Breakfast Plate, with two eggs, French Toast (Pancakes as an option) and two strips of Bacon (Sausage as an option) and a side order of toast. Unlike many other French Toast preparations, Grace’s version was fully saturated with fully cooked egg (versus a surface coating) and the bacon was light and crisp. (We observed a small child consume two plates of bacon for his breakfast – my sampling of DW’s bacon verified his palate’s choice.)
There are numerous cafes serving breakfast in the area, but Graces Café is a recommended choice for those who seek good food and courteous service at a good price.
