TJ's Restaurant and Drinkery
If you are searching for a spot with a substantial craft beer selection and great food, TJ’s Restaurant and Drinkery should be on your list. T.J.’s is situated in a strip center in Paoli across from the Paoli Train Station and offers indoor and outdoor dining.
I had visited this spot many years ago when operated under the original ownership as T.J.’s Everyday (opened in 2003) then rebadged it as TJ’s Restaurant and Drinkery after the draft beer offerings were increased. New ownership took over in August of 2020 and expanded the menu and increased the beer selection to over thirty varieties.
Beers selections are displayed on several video boards in the bar area with choices to satisfy a variety of tastes. The entrance into the tastefully decorated space takes visitors into a sizable bar area with table seating with a dining area in a separate room.

Offering pub fare with a twist, diners can feel comfortable settling in for appetizers, soup, salads, tacos, sandwiches, or entrees to enjoy along with a choice of over thirty different craft beers. Appetizer selections include Guajillo Pork Nachos, Wild Mushroom Quesadillas, Maple Smoked Chipotle Buffalo Wings. Braised Short Rib Poutine, salads featuring Grilled or Fried Chicken, Ahi Tuna or Blackened Shrimp, and six varieties of Mac and Cheese.
Sandwiches include Fried Chicken and Waffles, Cajun Chicken Wrap, a BLT with Fried Egg, Hot Roast Beef, and a selection of burgers. Taco choices include Baja Fish, Braised Short Ribs and Chili Lime Shrimp served with house made tortilla chips. Entrée choices are based on reformatted sandwich and appetizer choices and include Ahi Tuna Steak, Braised Short Ribs, Guajillo Pork Waffles and Fish and Chips.
Our group chose Maple Smoked Chipotle Chicken Wings and Bavarian Pretzels as appetizers along with a few draft beers. The wings were served hot and flavorfully seasoned and the Bavarian Pretzels were sprinkled with Everything Bagel seasoning and accompanied with Jalapeno Cheese sauce and a side of Whole Grain Mustard.
We chose sandwiches for dinner, with two orders of the popular Fried Chicken and Waffles, a Fried Chicken Wrap, and a French Dip Burger, all with a choice of fries. The Fried Chicken and Waffles featured a thick crispy Chicken Breast on two substantial Cornbread-Cheddar waffle halves and served with a surprisingly enhancing garnish of Candied Jalapenos. The wrap was constructed with Fried Chicken, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Cheddar Jack Cheese and Buttermilk Fried Onion Crisps and enhanced with Kewpie-Siracha sauce and a Gochujang Dipping Sauce accompaniment. The French Dip burger was a sizable beef patty topped with thin sliced Roast Beef. Everyone in the group agreed that T.J.’s was a great dining choice and future visits were warranted.
