An Update On Our Mitigation Planning Efforts
As we prepare for the Public Hearing activities this November, I would like to update you on our mitigation planning efforts. Over the last year, we have been working hand-in-hand with the project’s Community Advisory Council (CAC) to develop a DRAFT Community Mitigation Plan to lessen those impacts to the environmental justice neighborhoods of Ferndale, Highland Terrace, Liberty Park, and Russelldale.
This DRAFT plan addresses affordable housing, community centers, visual appearance and restoring community connections. However, it is simply a DRAFT and needs the full community’s input, NOW through January 15, 2021.
We have also introduced several new tools to help engage you better during these times of social distancing. These include the Community Commitments webpage, a Community Online Forum, an Online Survey, Text Messaging and a Community Office Staff webpage. More on these below.
