Dave's Corner 💭
For some reason it feels like winter is going by very quickly for me. Maybe it's because there's so much going on in the world, and in Burlington for that matter. You can't say it's been a slow news cycle. Neither locally nor nationally. I would actually like it if the winter slowed down.

The sidewalk on Pine Street currently ends a few hundred feet from the intersection with Queen City Park Rd. It's really unsafe when walking to Red Rocks or to the bike path extension and it would be so great if a sidewalk could be added here. Thanks!

- On street parking violations
How are chronic parking violations addressed in the new DPW “customer service” model? This van is constantly parked on either the corner or south winooski or spruce. It’s there for weeks at a time. Moved back and forth between the two spots. Regularly, if not always, in violation of the BTV parking law that says you cannot leave your car on the street for more than 3 days in the same spot. In residential neighborhoods with no permitted parking, this is what happens when parking isn’t enforced.

Random Burlingtonian Quote of the Day 📝
When we come to inanimate elements, the prevailing view has been that time and sequential change are entirely foreign to their nature. According to this view they do not have careers; they simply change their relations is space. We have only to think of the classic conception of atoms. The Newtonian atom, for example, moved and was moved, thus changing its position in space, but it was unchangeable in its own being. ...In itself it was like a God, the same yesterday, today, and forever.
—John Dewey
