I believe we need more words that describe snow. Today’s snow has been named “sparkly snow” by the nine year old. #btv https://t.co/feRmtvEvwq

This is the most brazenly disingenuous thing I've seen in 15+ years of following #btv politics. Really next level. 🙃 https://t.co/TszcIlaOUj

There is no better feeling while you are running for office than hearing people on the other end of line telling you they have already voted for you or receiving financial donations from people you have never met or called to make a donation. #btv #mayorAli #vtpoli

People of #BTV, your community has decided to divest from police and reinvest public $$$ in community-based solutions, a huge step forward and an example for #VT. https://t.co/kBTue7XFz2

Based on the lawn signs I'm seeing around town, I think this is going to be a close election. Anecdotally, I see more Max signs in the Hill District and more Miro signs in the New North End. I guess that's about what you would expect.

- Traffic Signal Problems
Crossing St. Paul Street at Main Street, the pedestrian walk light and the traffic green light go on simultaneously, i.e., there is no dedicated pedestrian advance (as there is crossing Main Street at St. Paul). This is especially dangerous as traffic turning from Main Street south onto St. Paul Street often do so without slowing adequately or looking.

- Trash or Illegal Dumping
While I greatly appreciate the existence of and the city's participation in the outdoor ice skating at South Park, the post lights-out social scene is problematic. For a couple of hours after closure, occupants of idling vehicles regularly toss fast food containers and beer cans onto the street, which are mashed up and flattened by cars parking the next day. Perhaps a trash can would help? Additionally, an evening drive-by from some of our beleaguered police force may calm or curtail the extended partying.
