17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

Hope's Happenings

Update on past activity in August 2021:

  • Visits to Northwestern Middle School, Manor Lake, The Oaks, Grace, The Pearl, Cobb County Mental Health Court, Cobb County Veterans’ Court
  • Peter is in contact with the North Cobb Library child and adult reading sessions which are about to resume.

Please continue to submit your requests for a Zoom visit via the following methods:
  1. Complete the ‘Hope Comfort Dog Request’ form via this link:  When a request is submitted, the information is sent directly to my organizer’s phone.
  2. Call the church office at (770) 973-8877 to set up a visit.  Janice Schaag and Susie Glass are excellent sources for getting this information to my group.
Woof ... Hope

Have a used tablet?

Are you enjoying that new tablet you got recently (or maybe not so recently)?  What's your old one doing?  Would it like to come help out in our Kids Club program?  We are looking for a few used tablets (although we wouldn't refuse a new one ...), still in working order with a working wifi connection, to be used when checking students out of Kids Club in the afternoons. For more info or to donate an old tablet, please contact Becca Ford at Thank you for considering this great recycling opportunity!

Altar Flowers

Have you noticed the beautiful flowers which grace our altar area each Sunday? Would you like to honor or remember someone or some event?  Please consider giving an arrangement or two.  If you'd like to take them home after the 11am service, please do; otherwise the flowers will be taken to brighten another's day.  Arrangements are $35/ea and you can sign up at

Please consider helping beautify our worship area by donating an arrangement.

Many thanks to

Social Ministry

The Faith Pantry delivered 100 bags of toiletries, detergent, hand sanitizer, cereal, hotdogs and buns with cookies to Brumby Elementary School on July 27th.

We were able to deliver 40 filled backpacks (with the help of some of our friends of the pantry) to Powers Ferry Elementary, East Valley Elementary, and East Cobb Middle School. More school supplies are going to East Valley this week.

Birthday Kits for our "Every Child Deserves a Birthday Cake" campaign were a huge success at all the schools we visited and we have already been contacted and took more to several schools. This will be an ongoing project of the Faith Pantry.  So, if you are out shopping and see birthday party supplies, pick them up and we can put those items in the kits!

This outreach in our community could not be done without you. Your donations have been a blessing to so many.

Sunday August 29th we are asking for the congregation to bring the greenest bananas they can find to be delivered to the food pantry on Tuesday 31st. Saturday when you are out doing your shopping, pick up an extra bunch of green bananas and bring them to church with you on Sunday morning!

JUST ONE THING - BELOW you will find the sales ads for this week. There are some wonderful ads this week. With school coming to an end for many families that receive breakfast and lunch the need will be great to keep the children fed, as well as many seniors in our community. This week is a great time to stock up on your favorite breakfast item that you would like to share with a family in need! Just remember that JUST ONE THING you would love to share! Also if you would like to take a peek at our new “Food Pantry,” also known as the bat cave,… let me know and I would love to show it to you!!! God’s richest blessings on you and your families!
