Save the Date! Registration Opens Next Week.

Our annual Men’s Retreat will be Friday, November 11- Sunday, November 13. All men and their sons, age 13 and older, are invited to a weekend experience to deepen relationships with the Lord and each other. We encourage you to engage in this significant opportunity for connecting with other men through conversation, Biblical teaching, worship, and fun.
Join us at Highland Lakes Camp, located just 40 miles southwest of Zionsville on 400 acres of rolling hills with 9 hiking trails. We enjoy relaxed discussions over meals, competitive activities for all ages, ample time to enjoy the beauty of fall, and an atmosphere of unhurried friendship.
Our theme is Life as Worship: Ordering Everything Around the Supremacy of God. Taylor Sutton, ZF pastoral staff member, will teach on giving the Lord ultimate value in our lives. Together we will explore the biblical implications of ordering everything around the supremacy of God.
Additional details and registration information will be available next week on the ZF homepage.

Baptism Opportunity October 23
Drew Hunter
We are excited to offer an opportunity for baptism on Sunday morning, October 23rd. If you are trusting and following Jesus and have not yet been baptized, this is for you! Here are three things to know about baptism.
1. Where Baptism Fits in the Christian Life
There are four logical steps when someone becomes a Christian: 1) Faith, 2) Baptism, 3) Church Membership, and 4) the Lord’s Supper. Here’s how they hold together:
  1. We respond to the gospel with repentance and faith in Jesus
  2. We express this faith through baptism
  3. Through baptism, we demonstrate that we are united to Jesus and are being membered to a church.
  4. Finally, we eat the Lord’s Supper with our new church family.
Think of the Baptism and the Lord’s Supper like a house: We enter the house through the front door baptism; and then we eat the Lord’s Supper with the church family in the dining room. And so we follow this order as a church family: We encourage you to begin trusting Jesus, then to be baptized, and then to begin receiving the Lord’s Supper. We also believe there is wisdom in waiting for children, and so we encourage children to cultivate faith and consider baptism and the Lord’s Supper in the early teen years.
2. What Should I Expect When I Get Baptized?
We celebrate baptisms on various Sunday mornings during our service. It is an opportunity to express your trust in Jesus and for the church family to affirm your faith through baptism. You may want to share your story of coming to Christ for a couple minutes, or you may prefer to very briefly answer a few questions to express your faith. We don’t have a set way of doing this, so we’ll work with what you’re comfortable with.
3. How Do I Sign Up?
We walk through a brief process that involves confirming your understanding of the gospel and baptism, as well as your testimony of how God brought you to faith in Christ.

Love In the Name of Christ Boone County is a unique network of churches and agencies that respond to the needs of ordinary people who need hope in the midst of a difficult time in life. Unexpected events like the loss of a job, a serious health diagnosis, a failed relationship, or a major home repair can sometimes cause major disruptions to normal life. Hundreds of volunteers are mobilized to care for and walk with people through these challenging times. Practically, this is carried out through the GAP (God Always Provides) Ministry at Love, INC which connects those in need with adult and children's clothing, furniture, baby cribs, household supplies, meat, food pantries, milk, etc. In addition to meeting physical needs, LOVE, Inc's Transformational Ministry offers courses in budgeting and financial planning as well as inter-personal skills, like boundaries.
