A Lot of Travel

Since my last update, I have traveled a lot of miles either by air or vehicle. My travels have taken me literally across North America. I have conducted meetings in the states of Massachusetts, Vermont, and New Hampshire, twice to Florida, Washington, Oregon and most recently, British Columbia. God has granted me safety in travel. as well as great meetings. I have met many new friends and been reconnected with folks I have met throughout the forty-one years I served in the ministry of the Cleveland Baptist Church.

One of the great blessings of travel is meeting many humble servants of the Lord. God has enabled me to meet men and women who love the Lord and labor tirelessly for Him in the ministry of the church. I am honored to be able to come alongside and serve with them. I am also excited about the young crop of missionareis that I am meeting. They are fired up and desire to get to the field of their calling and impact that place with the gospel. It is my prayer that God will use me to encourage them and that He will speed them on their way.

Missions Conferences

God has graciously allowed me to preach several Missions Conferences this fall. In each of these conferences, we saw God work in people's hearts. In every place God has enabled me to preach with clarity and power about the need of reaching our world and specifically, the need in the 10/40 window. I have been greatly encouraged as I have heard from the pastors where I was either in a conference or a missions' emphasis month that God has moved people to give more to missions. There have been some tremendous reports of wonderful increases in the Faith Promise giving. I rejoice knowing that more missionaries can be helped or in some cases new missionaries taken on or increases given to current missionaries being supported.

A Prayer Reminder

In every meeting I have conducted, I ask folks to pray for the 10/40 Window and next year's Spiritual Leadership Conference Asia held in Manila, March 9th through12. In one of my meetings, I had a dear young mother come to me after I had encouraged folks to pray, and she had a wonderful idea. She said "I homeschool my children and I am going to set my smartphone alarm Monday through Friday at 10:40AM and when it goes off, we will pause to pray for the 10/40 window and the coming conference." It was a brilliant idea and one I have encouraged others to follow. But you don't have to homeschool your children to set this alarm. I have mine set at 10:40 AM, six days a week. When the alarm goes off, I stop whatever, I am doing and just pray briefly for the 10/40 world/ I also ask God to help those who laboring to bring the Gospel to this needy part of the world and for all the preparation of the next Spiritual Leadership Conference of Asia.

Schedule for the rest of the year

The rest of the month is filled with Sunday meetings close to home. I am thrilled that God has filled up my calendar and that I have been afforded the opportunity to preach in so many different places. In December, I will have a week trip to California for meetings. The final three Sundays of 2019 are scheduled in Cleveland. I am honored that I get to preach the final Sunday of 2019 in my home church for my son and pastor, Pete Folger

Next Year 2020

I am booking meetings next year. I have a few Sundays open the first half of 2020 and more availability in the second half. Many pastors are looking at their calendars for next year and even into 2021. I would be honored to be considered for a meeting, and I will do my best to be a help and blessing to you and your church. Please feel free to contact me.

The meetings I have currently booked through the first quarter of next year can be found at the SL-Asia website. Please click on the link below.

Thank You!

A special thanks to the pastors and churches that have taken my wife and I on for support. Thanks for investing in us with your financial and prayer support!
