Elections for 2021-2022 Board Members and President-Elect
If you are interested in joining the ASPA Buffalo Niagara Chapter Board, please submit a letter of interest and resume to Brian Bray, Immediate Past President, at briancbray@gmail.com, by Friday, April 2.
 
During our Annual Meeting in June, we will host our yearly elections for four board member positions (two-year terms) and a president-elect.
Public Service Recognition Week Conference Returns May 1!
Join us Saturday, May 1 as we co-sponsor the return of a day-long (virtual) conference with SUNY Buffalo State's Department of Political Science and Public Administration to celebrate Public Service Recognition Week.

New Public Administration Book Club Meets April 22
The brand-new ASPA Buffalo Niagara Chapter "Public Administration Book Club" will have its first meeting Thursday, April 22 from 7 to 8 PM via Zoom. We will discuss The Divided States of America: Why Federalism Doesn't Work by Donald F. Kettl.
 
Dr. Kettl's book explores the history of federalism in the United States and how current applications of federalism in this country might be further driving the nation apart. The book is available through most online booksellers.
Public Administration Book Club provides a forum for current and future public administration professionals and academics to discuss current issues impacting the field as well as policy issues shaping our local, national and international communities.

Register for March 24 Government Spokesperson Panel Discussion
Join us and PRSA Buffalo Niagara Chapter (Public Relations Society of America) for an online panel discussion from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, titled, "Serving as an Elected Official's Spokesperson."

Chapter Member Graham Bowman Becomes 2021 Founders Fellow
Congratulations to ASPA Buffalo Niagara Chapter member Graham Bowman for earning the prestigious 2021 Founders' Fellow Award from ASPA National! As a Fellow, he receives a complimentary 2021 Annual Conference registration, a year-long mentorship with a seasoned practitioner or senior scholar, and professional development opportunities throughout the year.
