Early signs of autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
(click image below to watch video)
Early signs of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) can be detected in infants, yet many children with autism do not receive a diagnosis until the ages of two or three. While not every baby with autism symptoms is able to be diagnosed as an infant, there are many benefits to receiving a diagnosis before reaching preschool age.

Shining Through Stars
Every summer, Shining Through parents organize a weekly baseball outing for our learners (past and present) and their siblings to interact with their peers and to help improve their social and coordination skills. It is also a wonderful way to get some exercise, enjoy the nice summer weather and for STC parents to get to know each other and exchange stories.

The 2019 season is over and we are so thankful to all the families that actively participated this year.

We would also like to say a big thank you to Dino Iannello of CI promotions and Pizza Nova for being a supporter of the Shining Through Baseball program.

St. Louis Bar and Grill Shining Through  fundraiser
St. Louis Bar and Grill has been a wonderful supporter of Shining Through since we started almost 20 years ago. Every year they host a fundraiser in support of Shining Through and to spread autism awareness in the community. They continue to expand their fundraising efforts and last year they donated over $260,000!

It's an amazing event that supports programs at the Shining Through Centre.
