75% of staff at this successful IT company are on the autism spectrum

“Individuals on the autism spectrum are more likely to have strengths around pattern recognition, logical reasoning ability, enhanced focus, and so on,” says Anandan ( company Co-founder and CEO).

This company utilizes objective evaluation methods to test basic abilities and engage candidates in a week of paid, remote and stimulated environment work. This helps to observe behavioural attitudes.

When Aris was diagnosed with autism, the doctors said he wouldn’t be successful at school or make any friends. Today, the boy doctors said may also never talk, has been one of the MCs at our annual Shining Through Gala and is on his way to achieving his lifelong dream of being a radio announcer.

Shining Through Centre says yes to children with autism having dreams! We say yes to families having hope for their loved ones with autism!

From a parent hearing their child speak for the first time to a child pursuing their dreams, Shining Through has given hope to families through our compassionate, dedicated and excellent service.

You are a vital part of the story. Your gift will give our learners a chance to achieve their dreams.

Thank you Nancy!
Julian Trozzo came to Shining Through when he was just 4 years old. After a few years of receiving early intensive IBI/ABA therapy, he was ready to start transitioning to a regular school.  Sadly, finding a suitable school for Julian's needs was very challenging.

Nancy, Julian's mom, spent months researching, scheduling phone and face-to-face interviews with numerous schools trying to find one that had the capacity and was willing to bring Julian on as a student. After dozens of meetings, Nancy eventually found a great match for Julian's needs at the Kleinburg Christian Academy (KCA).

The transition was a great success! Julian’s therapists were able to stay with him in the classroom while still providing IBI/ABA therapy. Today, Julian is now in high school and is thriving academically and socially. He was even invited to sing the national anthem at our 20th gala celebration and the city of Vaughan's  "raise the flag for autism" event this past April.

Nancy's dedication and spirited fact-finding work opened the door for six other Shining Through learners to transition into KCA and set a precedent of having ABA support in the public school system.

Thank you, Nancy, for paving the way for Shining Through to support learners as they transition to a school environment!
Thank you!
