e-Angels Update / 03.19.20
Hi, e-Angels! We are living in extraordinary times. While we face challenges that were unimaginable even a month ago, we also have before us opportunities to nurture and care for each other in ways that never even occurred to us in the past.
Families in need who struggle in the best of times now add employment uncertainties and school closings to an already full plate.
With Florida schools officially closed until April 15 (and in all likelihood closed for much longer than that), Brevard Public Schools reached out to e-Angels to help children who do not have connectivity to the internet or a device at home to be able to continue to learn. Teachers are returning to school next week to plan innovative ways to continue their students' education through online learning. They are working to secure personal hot spots for these children and have requested our help.
Let me be frank. Never in 20+ years have I received a request that would have as profound an impact on children in need as this one. This will make the difference between a child continuing their education and advancement, and receiving no education at all for the uncertain duration of school closings.
I know this is a big ask in difficult times, but if you are able to make a donation to e-Angels for this unprecedented need, it will be greatly appreciated and will have a tremendous impact on the life of a child.
Thank you for your generosity and please stay well!
