Believe it or not, there was a time not that long ago when there wasn't live, fully-staged opera in the Berkshires. There was a void in the local arts community until our co-founders, Artistic Director Brian Garman and Director of Production Jonathon Loy, made the momentous decision to form Berkshire Opera Festival with the aim of restoring opera to a place of prominence and vitality in the Berkshires, and produced our first season in 2016.

Seven seasons into this journey, it now seems inconceivable that there ever was - or ever could be - a time without live opera. However, if we as a community have learned anything in the past two years, it is never to take the people and things you value most for granted. To sustain BOF's growth, and to keep our artists on stage each year, we need YOUR help!
