What's up choppers,

Another week in the age-old Q. At least this weekend we celebrated Stacy's Mom along with all of the other moms in the world, even the squad known as 'Future's baby mommas'.

We are thinking of adding a quiz on the newsletter that will allow us to tailor the email more towards your individual music taste. Let me know your thoughts here.

Run It Up (ft. Pop Smoke)- NAV: Could be our favorite NAV song yet.
Recap (ft. Don Toliver)- NAV: Our second favorite song off of the new album.
3 Headed Goat (ft. Lil Baby & Polo G)- Lil Durk: Durk released his new album “Just Cause Y’all Waited 2” this past week.
Zoo York (ft. Fivio Foreign & Pop Smoke)-Lil Tjay: Tjay has been releasing a lot of new music which includes his recent mixtape State of Emergency
Seasons - Prznt: Prznt’s new single “Seasons” is just another example of the type of high caliber music that he is capable of creating.
  • Yes, 6ix9ine dropped “GOOBA”, and he broke the Instagram Live record for most viewers. We don’t really vibe with his style of screaming into the mic when making his music, but we will give him credit for that.
Stuck with You - Justin Bieber/Ariana Grande : This is a really pretty track that people are already loving.
1x1 - Cold War Kids and Wesley Shultz (lead singer of the Lumineers): "1x1" is much slower and more stripped back than most Cold War Kids hits.
Hero - Weezer: A classic Weezer anthem released as a tribute to essential workers.

Bangers[5].Zip - GRiZ GRiZ stays consistent with the fifth installment of this series. With these wubs and dubs, this man does not miss.
Nav is one of the most interesting artists out in mainstream music right now. Not because he is a gifted musician, but because he's like the new French Montana; he gets carried with features. Does he sound like s%#t and his bars suck? No. Is he a great producer? Yes. But can he put out a solo banger? We don't think so. His past 3 albums all sound the pretty similar (which aren't bad), but they just aren't anything worth marking down as one of the best of the year, and the same applies to this one.

Rate: 6.3/10

Kehlani's sophomore album could very well be the R&B album of the year. Here is what she had to say on the album release live stream:
"The difference is that I didn’t try to make pop music. I think on Sweet Sexy, Savage there was quite a lot of pop songs, that’s just what I was it at the time. And this is where I really wanted to zone and make an R&B project and I just wanted it to be very mature and I wanted it to tell a story and be concise, I wanted to be in one world. […] I was telling kind of a more melancholy story, it wasn’t time for the uptempo songs on this album. […]"
