Wassup fellow quarantiners,

Another week of not leaving the house and recording yourself doing pushups. I swear to God music is the only thing keeping me sane. Speaking of music...we have a new Chop It Up mix and new tunes from The Weeknd, FISHER, Childish Gambino, J Balvin, Mac Miller plus virtual concerts!! This would be a great time for Kendrick and Frank Ocean to drop their new music sooo if anyone knows them please tell them. Thanks.

**For all you new choppers out there, you can access our weekly playlists (which has over 40+ songs this week) by clicking on the Soundcloud and Spotify logos at the top and bottom of the email.**

After Hours (Deluxe)

If you wanted some old Abel, prepare your ears. This isn’t that Starboy pop shit; this some real, motherfucking XO vibes. Listening to this album feels like taking 3 tabs of acid, then doing a bar crawl through Las Vegas in 1982. I’m really excited about this album because it brought back The Weeknd’s mysterious sound; besides Blinding Lights, there isn’t really a mainstream song to be found.

Rate: 8.2/10
Songs to listen to: Alone Again, Scared to Live, Snowchild, After Hours, Heartless Remix (Lil Uzi)

Freaks by FISHER
Thank you, FISHER. Seriously, this song makes you feel like you are at Miami Music Week. Our Aussie friend only makes bangers. Go have a dance party to this one with your quarantini.

Childish you're so manly. I am always confused about these no names on song albums, just numbers like Kendricks Untitled album. These are the names of the songs on the album:

01 0.00, 02 Algorithm, 03 Time, 04 12.38, 05 19.10, 06 24.19, 07 32.22, 08 35.31, 09 39.28, 10 42.26, 11 47.48, and 12 53.49

Ariana Grande and 21 Savage appear on these tracks. Somewhere, throughout all the numbers, you will hear their features. Actually a very vibey album and worth a listen.

Best places to listen: Bath or Shower

Songs to listen to 53.49, 24.19, 12.38

This past weekend your favorite DJs and 18-year-olds would've been at Ultra**, unfortunately, we missed out on once-in-a-lifetime sets like DJ Snake b2b with Malaa.
Don't worry because this 55-minute mix from DJSwifty will make you feel like you are front row.

As a student in his final year at the University of Florida, DJSwifty (Harrison Swift) was always interested in being involved in the EDM community. No, that doesn't just mean going to every festival he can get a ticket to - although you can catch Swifty at Okeechobee Music Festival every year. Swift has been DJing locally in Gainesville for three years now and is looking to start producing. To stay up to date with events and new tracks, his social media is attached below. Time to get schwifty with Swifty, click here.

Concerts coming to a quarantine near you!

The OG Virtual Concert

You can literally always count on NPR to brighten the mood with their Tiny Desk Series. This week’s releases feature…

Rex Orange County: This is so good - I love this dude. He kicks it off with “Loving is Easy,” which never disappoints. The next three songs will put you right in your feels and the set ends with a killer jam sesh featuring a trumpet and sax.

Harry Styles: I was never a One Direction fangirl (I’m sorry to those that take that personally), but Harry’s latest album Fine Line changed the game for me. I’m starting to understand the obsession. This tiny desk brings a slower, folky feel to the album making it hard not to fall in love.

*Last two songs are best, start at 10:36 and watch the rest*

IG Concerts

With real concerts getting canceled left and right, keep an eye out on IG for concerts like Swae Lee's that he live-streamed in the studio Friday. He actually "brought a fan on stage," pretended to crowd surf, and brought out the second half of Rae Sremmurd, Slim Jxmmi. Pure entertainment.

Other artists that have joined this trend include: Hozier, Diplo, Erika Badhyu (who charged $1 for charity to view), and Flipturn. Final note, jam band Umphrey's McGee will live stream every Monday in their new Umphrey's Mondays series.
