The pilot continues...

16 Young Entrepreneurs

It is week 5 of the Young Entrepreneurs Pilot Program, showcasing the Global Village School design.  16 students from 6 public schools across Melbourne have chosen to participate in this pilot to create an equitable and more engaging school model. The focus for this pilot...entrepreneurial skills for the 21st century work place! In particular...critical and creative thinking and personal and social skills. The program begins with social enterprises and not-for-profits presenting on the work they do and making a 'pitch' to our students to take on a project to support their work. Our students split into groups based on the project they want to take on; the issue they feel most passionate about. Their task for the next 8 weeks...make a difference! Let's see what they come up with!

Vincent explains how belonging = success in school in his article:

Belonging in school...Belonging in the World

This is what a group of adolescents getting to know each other at Global Village School looks like...

Become a part of the village..

Our school could very much be the circuit breaker our system so badly needs. With 59% of our most disadvantaged young people not completing school, it is our mission to create a model that not only keeps all kids in school, but excites and engages them in education.

But we need your help...we are all volunteers and our organisation relies on philanthropic support to function...please check out our donation page below and contribute what you can.
