CO APCD Reporting
Analytics
CIVHC is meeting with teams from different state agencies to determine use cases for the first phase of the Data Mart. These use cases will help decide how the Data Mart will be designed and what type of analytic tools will be available with the de-identified data set at its core.

Preliminary results of an analysis of opioid prescribing practices by specialty will be sent to HCPF soon. Timelines for additional analysis and for public reporting will be developed after discussions with HCPF.

The first analysis using the Prometheus methodology for analyzing the costs and quality of episodes of care for common health care procedures should be delivered in the coming month, setting the stage for additional reporting, including expansion of the Shop for Care tool.

Reporting
Initial Drug Rebate and Low Value Care Reports have been provided to HCPF and public reports are in development with the anticipated release over the next few months.
CO APCD Data Quality
Data Intake & Enhancements
As part of CIVHC’s Enhanced Oversight Plan for HCPF, we recently updated the CO APCD Snapshot, which breaks down what the CO APCD contains by payer type, number of lives, and number of claims.

We believe that data moves at the speed of trust and not only do we have to be good stewards of the data, but we must continually cultivate and build trust in our work with the partners and stakeholders we support. We intend to foster trust in CIVHC and the capabilities of the CO APCD by providing updates on timelines for new analytics, describing any new data discoveries we’ve uncovered, and sharing updates on our process to continually improve the overall quality of the data.
If you wish to be removed from this list or have others in your organization that would like to receive these updates, please contact Stephanie Spriggs at sspriggs@civhc.org.
