The Charlotte Dads Group is a diverse community of fathers who take an active role in our children’s lives. We've created an online MeetUp group to bring fathers together in the Charlotte Area. We meet with our kids at parks, playgrounds, museums, nature centers, and parent-and-me classes across the city. We felt that there were not enough resources, social groups, or services for dads, so that's what we decided to create! Our group is made up of dads from all walks of life including: stay at home dads, full and part-time working dads, married as well as single parents. Welcome to our community!

THIS MONTH’S TOP STORIES

Movember: Support Men Around the World

The Charlotte Dads Group is a proud supporter of Movember, a global campaign focused on men’s health issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and depression. Please take a moment to find out what you can do to support the team from City Dads Group, Dad 2.0 Summit, Life of Dad, and the National At-Home Dad Network to raise awareness and to give back.

Dads Night Out @ Armored Cow Brewing - University

It’s been a long and arduous road to get here, but The Charlotte Dads Group recently met IN PERSON for our first Dads Night Out event since March! We choose Armored Cow Brewing Co. because of its convenient location near the 85/W.T. Harris exit, as well as the spacious outdoor seating that allowed our dads to enjoy themselves in an open and safe atmosphere. Although we’re excited to continue scheduling these in person events, the health and safety of our members and their families is the #1 priority for the Leadership Team, and we want to make sure that all future events are as safe (and enjoyable) as this one. Stay tuned for more!

The Charlotte Dads Group Podcast Interviews Rob Ainbinder aka “Pitmaster Rob”

For the first installment of our new “Dad Talks” series, Podcast Co-Host Darrell Humprey sits down and chats with Rob Ainbiner. “Pitmaster Rob” has over 16 years of BBQing experience, and lends his expertise to new and seasoned dads. Whether you’re just getting started, want to improve your skills, or are curious to learn about the history of BBQ, this is an interview you won’t want to miss!

And as always, please take the time to review, rate, and subscribe to The Charlotte Dads Group Podcast!

Help us grow our Podcast

Did you know The Charlotte Dads Group Podcast is created and produced exclusively by members of the group AND is done out of their own donated personal time and money? Season 2 of The Charlotte Dads Group Podcast is officially launched (subscribe to it here) and is already shaping up to be bigger and better than Season 1. To help us grow and expand our reach, as well as improve the overall quality of content, we’re currently looking for business sponsors; we’d love to partner with local businesses (bonus points if it’s run by a current member) to support and grow together. If you, or anyone you know, is interested in becoming a sponsor, please reach out to us at podcast@charlottedadsgroup.com

Note: ANY and ALL funds collected will be funneled directly into improving the podcast via new and improved equipment, enhanced editing programs, and professional audio and video quality.
